A lot of the prim tutorials out there call for instant coffee. While I use it for staining muslin, I just wasn't understanding what it would do to candles. Then I tried it and am impressed with the results! I bought three battery flicker pillars on sale at the hardware store. They were only $1.99 each and they actually work! I didn't have modge podge, so I just coated the candle with white craft glue, then rolled the candle in instant coffee with a little cinnamon mixed in. Here is my results. Now I want to 'instant coffee' everything! The boys would look so prim. LOL
It turned out really neat! I am
ReplyDeletegoing to have to try it, thanks
for sharing.

ReplyDeleteGlad you are taking a break., we all need it. I am baking bread today and was vaccumming until the belt broke. A good reason to take a break. Have to wait till I can get to Wally world to get another belt.
Anyway. love the candles.
YEA! ! !
ReplyDeleteYou figured it out. Now I can give my hand a try at it. I have been wondering how to primitiveize so many of my candles. Love them. Good Job Lori.
